Testimoniales de Bordemundo

Our cabana had views over Lago Llanquihue and Osorno volcano. Inside there is a bedroom, open plan kitchen and living area with a wood fire, and a bathroom. We found the cabana to be very well appointed, everything you needed was thought of. Javieria came each morning to drop off an amazing breakfast and each evening to light our fire, she is a friendly and attentive host. She also provided great directions from Puerto Varas. Guests are also invited to use the barbecue with outdoor table, which we did- it was great. The little beach just down the hill from the cabanas is also lovely! We had a great time and would warmly recommend Bordemundo to all!

Javiera's beautiful cabanas have it all!

My mother and I just spent four days in one of Javiera's cabins, and had a fantastic time. Our cabin was clean and cozy, and had a great view of the Osorno volcano. The grounds are also home to sheep, chickens, dogs, peacocks, and a beautiful beach (the last stairs down are quite steep). The real gem is Javiera herself, who might be on your doorstep in the morning with your breakfast in a basket, or swinging by in the evening to get a fire going in the woodstove, but always makes you feel very welcome.

Cannot say enough good things about this place.

The day before we arrived, we had to go the the hospital, as our 8 month old baby was very sick w a respiratory infection. We ended up having to be airlifted to Santiago a day later. The reason I write this for my review is that Javiera was absolutely amazing in helping us in a very stressful situation. She helped with translation needs and sent a friend to our hospital to help, made us amazing food for the hospital that really lifted our spirits and starving stomachs, and transported a crib we left behind; she truly went above and beyond a B&B host. We are indebted to her kindness. As for the place, we spent little time there, but fully expect to come back as the land is absurdly beautiful, the views breathtaking, and the cozy, fire warmed cabins oozed a true Chilean experience.

Thank you so much for being helpful in a stressful situation.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Cabañas Bordemundo for 4 days last month. The property is incredible -- views of the lake and the volcano, lots of open grassy areas, and even peacocks! The cabins are fully stocked with kitchen supplies and necessities, which was nice because we ate either lunch or dinner there almost every day. Every night when we got home, Javiera had lit the fire in the chimney for us, so it was super warm and cozy in the cabin even though it was cold outside. On our last day, we had to leave in the wee hours of the morning to catch a plane to Puerto Montt, so we didn't get to have Javiera's incredible breakfast (eggs from her chickens, homemade bread, homemade pastries, fresh squeezed apple juice from her apple trees, etc.), but Javiera still left us a basket with some bread and eggs the night before. To top it all off, since we left on Easter day, she surprised us with little chocolate eggs at the bottom of the basket! So cute! We ate them all on the plane ride back to Santiago. Make sure you take a stroll down the path that leads to the lake -- Javiera told us that her dad carved out the trail (including the dirt stairs!) all by himself many years ago.

Our favorite place in Chile!

Javiera and Lathan are incredibly friendly and kind! Even when I had a cold, they gave me honey and tea! Fresh eggs from their chickens and home made warm bread were such homely touches and we felt so relaxed. The little stroll right to the beach on the lake was perfect for evening walks. Our hosts helped advise us with where to go, and what to do. Ask them anything from rock climbing information or market town trips. We hired a car and it's a good location to get to supermarkets, local towns, great walks, mt Osorno, Varas and beyond.

We had the pleasure to stay in 2 cabins - one with a view of the famous Osorno mountain, and the other nestled in trees overlooking the land. Both were so cosy and warm and perfect for our get away. We booked for a few nights at the start of our holiday, but wanted to stay the full 7 days we had, and Javiera was really accommodating fixing it so we could stay on in a different cabin.

Really eco aware, recycling, growing own vegetables and eco products in the cabin.

We can't thank them or recommend them enough!

Warm and welcoming hosts who went above and beyond!

We loved this b&b. The location is fantastic the cottage is warm, clean and wonderful. The only downside was that we had to leave. Our son still talk about Javiera and that she and the eggs was the best with our trip to Chile.

We already miss our cabin and Javiera!

We loved our stay at Bordemundo. The setting is beautiful, the cabins are comfortable and clean, the private beach by the lake and views of the volcanoes amazing. And more than this, what Javiera has created here is truly inspiring - her respect and love for the land and animals is evident everywhere. We felt privileged to be so welcomed. Gracias Javiera!

Wonderful, inspiring place in Puerto Varas

We could not have been happier with Javiera and Bordemundo! After three weeks of backpacking, we were looking for a quiet place to spend our last two days of vacation before flying out of Puerto Montt. We were trying to stay on a tight budget, and were considering finding something cheaper and closer to the airport, but I am SO glad we chose Bordemundo! It was a fantastic value and truly a blissful relaxing experience.

Our cabana was well appointed with everything you might need and had an incredible view over the lake to the snowcapped Volcano Osorno. The wood stove made it cozy, the bed was comfortable, there was great on-demand hot water, and Javiera's breakfast with fresh homemade bread was excellent and filling. Probably best of all was the small private beach. We swam in the cool but crystal clear water of Lago Llanquihue and laid on the warm, pebbly beach for hours. It was divine!

Javiera was so warm and gracious, and offered to arrange us taxis and gave us suggestions on things to do. We had no trouble getting from Bordemundo to Puerto Montt and then to the airport. It was really a perfect finale to our trip. Highly recommend!

Perfectly relaxing with incredible views - a true gem!

Seriously, you don't want to miss out staying here! My sister and I stayed here in earlier this month, and I only wish we had stayed longer. The cabins are perfect for a comfortable and cozy vacation. Ours had a refrigerator, stove, log furnace, and a very nice bathroom. All these amenities, but the cabin still feels rustic and the decorations are quaint. Javiera is the best host! We arrived late after having a rental car dilemma and she greeted us with freshly baked bread and fresh eggs. She is so nice, and it was fun to chat with her. She has a greenhouse and lots of animals on the property. If I were staying there again, I would definitely splurge for the included breakfast because everything would be SO fresh. The beach!!! There is a private beach on the property and it's a beautiful place to sit and read a book. Not to mention there is an outstanding view of Volcan Osorno. Bordemundo and Javiera are amazing! I would stay there for weeks if I could.

Best place to stay!

We stayed at Bordemundo with my boyfriend for one night and we wish to have stayed for more! There's a stunning lake view with two volcanoes on a beach very nearby the cabins, and on the farm you can see ducks, chickens, lambs, dogs, cats and even a peacock! The cabins are modern and cosy and there's a free wi-fi everywhere around the area, also outside the cabins. However, still the best thing about this accommodation were the awesome hosts Javiera and Lathan, who made us feel like home away from home by being very hospitable, friendly and laid-back and helping us with everything we needed. P.S. And Javiera's delicious breakfast was a real kick-start for the day!
