Here is a quick tour around our land where you get to meet some of the animals we keep. From the chickens that provide fresh eggs for the morning eggs, gineafowl that sing along all day, peafowl that put on a show for all to admire and sheep that provide us wool for the tappestries that hang on the walls or bed covers that lie over the beds.
After talking with a few of our friends about Antillanca, we decided it was time to make the trip out our selves. The line that got us hook line and sinker is that you are able to drive up to the crater with your car!
As the saying goes "the early bird gets the worm", waking up just a little bit early here at Bordemundo can be extreamly rewarding. This photo was taken at 6:20 am but what a view and that photo was taken from the window of Cabin Arrayàn. So get to bed a little early one night here and leave the curtains open you wont regret the view!
But even if you miss the early morning show you can still get the evening one. Here is a short video of a sunset out side one of our cabins as well, the colours in the South of Chile are quite something!
If you have ever been to the South of Chile you would have heard about the Alerce trees. Have you ever taken the road from the Puerto Montt airport to Puerto Varas? Then you have passed the park of Lahuen Nadi. Unlike parque Alerce you don't need to walk 5km to see a tree, here you can view them 2 min from the entrance.
If you ever needed to have a reason to visit Chile here are some of the best ones we could think of here at Bordemundo. There are ver few places in the world as diverse, landscapes and people that exist as in Chile, we hope to find you here shortly.
The south of chile is green for a reason, it does rain a fair amount, but when it stops we are afforded a great opportunity to view the nights sky in all its glory. Here are some photos taken from our very back yard of the nights sky.
No trip to Puerto Varas is the same the seasons change, volcanos erupt; as we all know mother nature keeps changing. But there are some beatiful animals to be found around the lakes region. Here are some of the best that you can spot on most days, but it will mean leaving your cozy cabin.
